I'm not sure why stuff like this still surprises me, but it looks like the Social Network created by David Hasselhoff is turning out to be a bit of a success, at least if you count the number of users on it.  The social network, Hoffspace, already counts over 10000 users according to an article on The Next Web.

So here's my question to you...if you could only join 1 social network and you had to choose between a Chuck Norris themed social network and a David Hasselhoff themed social network, which would you choose? :)  I think I'd have to go with Chuck...because Chuck Norris can sneeze with his eyes open.

When I have a moment to spare, I no longer go on Facebook...I go on FriendFeed.  I haven't quite figured out what that means...but I know it is a pretty significant change in my online behavior.

Once I put a bit more thought into this I'll write something more compelling...I just felt the need to share this tidbit of information with you all...

So this post has nothing to do with social media, web 2.0 or anything else normally written about in this community...but it is a story that I just needed to share.

Yesterday, I was on my way out the door when I decided to throw on a jacket that had been sitting unworn in the closet for a few months.  As soon as I put my arm in the sleeve I felt the sensation of getting pricked by a needle.  At first I didn't think anything of it, but then it started to itch and throb a bit so I decided to pull my arm out of the jacket.  When I looked at my arm it red and swollen...like I'd been bit by something.  What could've bitten me?

Well, I turned the sleeve of my jacket inside-out and there it was...a huge (okay, maybe not HUGE...but still pretty big) white cocoon with some yellow eggs inside and something moving around inside of it...a nasty looking spider!  Seeing this absolutely freaked me out...I had images first of Arachnophobia running through my head, then images of me becoming the next Spiderman

If you want to see what the cocoon looked like, check out the 1st picture (you can even make out the yellow eggs).  For the swelling and redness on my arms, check out the second picture which was taken while I drove myself to the hospital in a panic.

Once I got to the hospital they quickly administered some sort of shot to my arm (right in the waiting room) and all seemed to be good.  I'm not exactly sure what the shot was, but it made me really sleepy and the swelling/redness went away pretty quickly too.

So the morale of the story is...well, I don't really know what it is.  But I can guarantee you that I'll check the sleeves twice before putting on the next jacket that's been sitting in the closet for a while.

If you're like me, you absolutely HATE doing your expenses!  Collecting your receipts, punching them into a spreadsheet, adding notes...not fun at all!  Well, I found a great little tool called Xpenser that removes that headache and even does currency conversions for you...woohoo!

During my recent trip to Budapest all I had to do was send an email (ex: "Taxi $7000 huf To Budapest Airport") to a specified email address and my expense would be tracked in real-time, in the proper currency!  With all that work completed, I just needed to export the report from Xpenser, print it out and staple all the receipts to it and I was done!  Here's a link to the site if you want to try it out...
Let me know what you think about it.

Picking up on Kevin's post about The Multiple Uses of Twitter, I thought I'd share my favorite little Twitter tool,TwitterSyncTwitterSync provides a one-way synchronization of your Twitter status to you Facebook status.

As time goes on (and providing that Twitter scales), Twitter has a great opportunity to become THE ubiquitous publishing platform from where you can participate in all communities, social networks, etc....and this tool shows one small example of this.
